Despite the name, “Scout Magazine” has nothing to do with Baden-Powell, or even British Petroleum, as far as I know. As for scouts and booze, I loved my UK scout belt, with its built-in bottle opener! Pure coincidence of the design, I’m sure. It just happened to perfectly fit a beer bottle cap, and give good leverage for its removal…
