Dead Man Down: Elevator Murder Experiment – Ad Pitch Blog

6 03 2013

Another classic “find” from Lockhaart via Dead Man Down: Elevator Murder Experiment.

Be honest now… what would you do? I found it interesting who did what.

Some of the apparently least likely took the most action.

As Lockhaart herself comments though… the last is perhaps the worst example of our modern sensibilities.

Deliberately Delicious

I can’t see myself wading into the middle of the fight (all five feet of me…), but I think I’d call 911 as soon as I was back out on the street. The most creative response was the fire extinguisher. Now that guy was thinking!

I’d agree fire extinguisher for creative. Flowers took the “passionate response” prize though.

I can’t believe that guy actually TOOK A PICTURE WITH HIS CELL PHONE.
What a f*head.

And what’s up with the guy who peers around the corner and asks “What’s going on here?” and then walks away. Seriously?

I did enjoy the fire extinguisher, and the flowers. I like to think that I’d kick the guy in the head, but maybe that’s just because I’m sitting at my desk in my living room.

that GUY, I can’t believe that GUY actually took a picture. . . sheesh. . .wish we could edit comments.

And just like that, your fairy godfather appeared and made you an offer you couldn’t refuse…

Thank you fairy godfather. And for not editing out what I called him. I did realize later that perhaps he was documenting the event so as to be able to provide a positive identification to the police.

Perhaps… but I think that’s just your real “bright side” self coming through. If he felt “safe” enough to stand and photograph, then he felt safe enough to intervene. I actually have more respect for those who ran. They felt unsafe themselves and were consistent in their behaviour. He felt safe but then became a voyeur.

Always looking at the bright side. That’s me. (Ha!)

Ah… I wondered if you’d take the bait! 🙂
As sung by the crew of the sinking HMS Sheffield as they waited patiently for helicopter rescue during the Falklands War. Good morale booster!

I’m pretty predictable, aren’t I?

Okay, that’s supposed to be me sticking my tongue out at you, not smiling like you’re the funniest thing ever.
You know, colon (:) hyphen (-) capital P (P).
Since when did this become laughing?

Kids eh? P’s are always tongues to me…

Ah, I’d heard about this but hadn’t seen it, cheers for sharing.

Yes, it’s tough one. I of course hope that I’d intervene, but you really can’t know for sure until the situation occurs. And quite frankly I hope it doesn’t!

True that!
I once heard of a prize-winning First-Aider who was “rabbit in headlights” when someone actually needed his skills in the street.

You know, these two guys really took a risk to do this. Some really over-the-top person could have pulled the prospective “murderer” off the other guy and really pounded him, or pulled one of those of-course-it’s-legal concealed weapons Americans are all supposedly so fond of and plugged him one.
(So much for always looking on the bright side. It’s overrated, anyway. Really.)

I want to know who got the bill for recharging the fire extinguisher! 🙂
