Google+

22 04 2012

So someone invited me to join Google+, and I did so in a moment of weakness.

I forgot all about it (while, like a ravenous leech, it’s probably sucking every iota of personal information… and potentially dignity… from my very being) until today.

Today I came across this. I know a few iOS and Linux addicts who might find it a little offensive. For that reason alone it was worth posting. I’m like that! 🙂

I couldn’t agree more about the ravenous leech comment. I just don’t understand what it is with these companies these days. Whether it’s Google or Facebook or whatever they just can’t be happy with simply being the most powerful and successful companies in their field with many happy and content customers. They have to set themselves the goal of taking over the whole world as well. To obtain and control every piece of information that’s ever been known to man. And for the record Google Mail, if you’re reading this, no I don’t want to give you my ‘effin PHONE NUMBER!!!

Skynet hears you.

Well the good thing about Skynet is they’re honest about it. They simply send a seemingly unstoppable single-minded robot through time to exterminate you. You know where you are with them. Whereas Google try to pretend that they’re you’re friend, while rifling through your diary and selling the information to third parties. And this is all done while attempting to convince you that giving all your personal information over to them is in your best interest and that you’re just out of step with the times if you don’t comply. That’s dishonest. Give me Arnie with a shotgun concealed within a box of roses to a Guns and Roses theme tune any day…That’s honesty.

They probably ARE reading it, but that doesn’t mean they won’t ask you again next time. Just in case you’ve changed your mind.

Well if they were paying enough attention to me they’d know that I’m too bloody stubborn to change my mind!

They clearly need to do their research better.

😀

Yeah, let’s ask these people to pay more attention to stuff that’s NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!!!

(Call me paranoid, just don’t call me late for dinner.)

Still laughing over the “will eat your face” part.
