Issues of Gender in Virginia Woolf’s “Orlando”

27 12 2011

Loved this quote I just came across on a reader’s blog. Never read any Woolf, but she seemed to know a lot about men – that’s for sure!!

“Women have served all these centuries as looking glasses possessing the magic and delicious power of reflecting the figure of man at twice its natural size.”

-Virginia Woolf

A Room of One’s Own, 1929
